Welcome to the COSHL
Welcome to the COSHL's official website! The COSHL is a fictional hockey league I created as a passion project in an effort to combine my love of sports writing, historical narratives and deep dives, and the inner politics and business decisions behind the art of sport, such as team management and roster function. Feel free to explore the website to learn about the teams I have created, read about the league's functions and history, or follow along with updates on league news and events!

About the COSHL
The COSHL was established in 1930 by founding partners Spencer Davis and Bertrand Morrison, the owners of two private hockey clubs that competed in various leagues. With a shared goal to create a more stable and entertaining league for the sport they love, the COSHL was born. Over time, the league has grown into a major Canadian hockey league featuring teams across Canada's major cities.
Every year, 32 COSHL teams divided into two separate conferences compete by playing 82 regular season games against one another to decide on the 16 teams (8 from each conference) that qualify for the COSHL playoffs. The ultimate prize awaits the lone surviving team from these playoffs; the Spencer Davis Memorial Champion's Bowl, also known as the "Davis Bowl" for short.
