BREAKING: STEELERS AND NICK SHEARY PART WAYS

Following their elimination from the 2026 COSHL playoffs at the hands of the Toronto Warriors yesterday, the Hamilton Steelers made headlines once again as they announced today that longtime head coach Nick Sheary will not have his contract renewed and will be out of the Steelers organization. In a move that GM Patrick Ford describes as a "mutual parting of ways", Nick Sheary will not return next season as the Steelers head coach. Sheary has been the Head Coach of the Hamilton Steelers since the offseason of 2015 when he was brought in to replace Frank Gravell, and led the Steelers to three Davis Bowl Championships in 2017, 2021, and 2024. His firing marks the first head coach firing of the 2026 offseason for any playoff team.
